Otis, the global elevator and escalator company, undertook a major overhaul of its brand, introducing a new look and voice that celebrates its 165-year history, while also looking to the future. Otis wanted to relaunch its employee magazine in the UK and Ireland in line with the new branding, and to integrate content with its digital channels.
We worked with Otis’s brand guardians in the UK and America to completely redesign the magazine. The new publication – Move – has a bold style that is aligned to Otis’s brand while also incorporating design touches that provide something unique for UK and Ireland employees. We introduced new content platforms to focus on employee contributions to the business. We also added regular jump points to guide readers to related online content.
Otis’s Group Communications Manager and Global Brand Manager have expressed delight with the new magazine. The feedback from employees has been overwhelmingly positive…even the families of Otis employees have requested copies. Even better, we’ve been nominated for ‘Best New or Relaunched Publication’ at the 2018 IOIC Awards.
